The Tuition Donation Credit Program empowers Louisiana families with the financial resources to choose the school that best prepares their child for college and careers. To be eligible for a scholarship from Aspiring Scholars, students:

Students who receive a scholarship through the Louisiana Scholarship for Excellence Program are not eligible for a TDC scholarship in the same school year. However, scholarship students who are changing schools to a school that does not participate in the state scholarship program may apply for a TDC scholarship for the coming year. Aspiring Scholars determines the amount of scholarships. Parents must pay the difference of any tuition and fees not covered by the scholarship.Scholarship amounts cannot exceed the lesser of either the school’s tuition and mandatory fees or 80% of the state average per pupil funding for elementary and middle school students (approximately $4,200) and 90% of the state average per pupil funding for high school students (approximately $4,700).
Students with special needs may be eligible for the School Choice Program for Certain Students with Exceptionalities through the Louisiana Department of Education. To learn more about this program, click here.
